UPDATE 4:50pm Tuesday 3-28

Alot of new info today....

As you all probably know by now the County sent out a preview of the 2006 Docket for the County Council Hearing April 11th. Included in there is some indication of MRO changes, I contacted Dave Somers about this and he said the Rinker pit is not on there. He said it's too late for that to be considered and would have needed to have been submitted last July. If they want to consider it for removal of MRO status they'll have to wait until next year's 2007 Docket.

Also spoke with Fire District 7 today. They said they are still very interested in this site for a regional training facility. They are putting things on hold for now on advice of their attorneys who are concerned about legal action from the Health Dept. regarding clean-up of the contamination. Apparently whoever buys the property before it is cleaned-up could be partially liable for the clean-up costs and they don't want to touch that.

Having said that, should the property become rezoned and cleaned up, they plan to condemn the site and pay Rinker fair market value for the property, which according to them is 2.4 million. (1.3 million more than MXGP)

MXGP can't win, even if they get a rezone somehow next year and wait for Rinker to get it cleaned-up, the F.D. will bump them out of the picture.

The training facility sounds great in that there'd be no traffic, no noise and no stadium lights.

Amen, Our voice is being herd!!! Hey you guys I just found out from a contact of mine, MXGP has found another spot some where in Mount Lake Terrice/Lynnwood area. This property is zoned commercial and they aready have a purchase and sale agreement. From the sound of it they may be able to get started without delay of a conditional permit. THIS IS AWSOME NEWS!!! Do you think that we show focus the county coucil members attention on this other area?

Mount Lake Terrace/Lynnwood area? Talk about jumping from the frying pan into the fire! It would be political suicide to promote the track in such an urban area. The population density is much greater than here in Maltby/Clearview.

There is really no where in Snohomish Country that is not over run with people. This track and all its noise and problems belongs in the middle of no where.

Well do you think that we should send our support for MXGP to have there other location with the county council. Will that not help our position and stop the track in Maltby, if we all show our support for the Mount Lake Terrice site. Does any one know where the site is at? My family and I live right by the Maltby proposal. We have nothing against motorcycle riders. We just dont want it here. My family and friend are going to start writing letters to the county council. I hope the council will start to focus on this Mount Lake Terrice site and leave us alone. We all should write them. Please!!! This can not happen here in Maltby.

If people support a track in Lynnwood then they should write letters. However, until I know where the track is proposed I will not be writing letters to support it. We will win here on our own merits. I cannot just support the track to be opened in Lynnwood just because until I know the location. What if there are neighbors right next to that location too? If not then whoo hoo, but if there is I couldn't do that to them knowing how it feels.

To support a location tha would put our problems in someone elses lap would be a little rude. Lets all hope a suitable location can be found where every one is happy. I am sure it is out there.

I live right above where they want to build the track in Clearview. I won't believe anything I read or hear regarding MXGP pulling out of the proposed Rincar site untill MXGP has started building someplace else. The way
this whole thing was started and has progressed has just reinforced my contempt for the people that run this
county. We all need to keep watching and
listening. By the way, this track should not be built within 10 miles of ANY populated area!!!
